Important notes

1. Please be tolerant to the fact, that depending on weather forecasts, the sequence of routes may be changed or totally removed from the program: being replacing by another route to ensure program efficiency;

2. During skiing days lunch breaks will be held in field conditions by pre-prepared food packages;

3. Guides always have first aid modern box and radio-connectivity;

4. Participants must have sleeping bag (comfort rating -5C )for overnight on Aragats meteostation.

  1. Day 1 Yerevan

    Arrival early morning and transfer to Hotel. Rest in Hotel. Breakfast at 10:00 am. The excursion starts at 11:00am with visit to Matenadaran Museum, which houses a unique collection of ancient manuscripts covering such lofty topics as philosophy, law, mathematics, medicine and geography,. After lunch Tour in the City. Conclude the day with a visit to the Genocide Monument and Museum. Lunch/Dinner, overnight in Yerevan.

  2. Day 2 Mount Ara

    Mount Ara 2577m. is located not far from Yerevan. Climb starting from village Aragyugh. It includes forest part with perfect view to nearest mountain ranges, Aragats mount, Ararat mount and etc. Visiting Saghmosavanq monastery complex in the end of the day. Dinner and Overnight in Yerevan. Climbing up 7km/ 14km Altitude change 1700-2577m

  3. Day 3 Mount Hatis- Garni Temple- Geghard Monastery (UNESCO)

    Mount Hatis 2528m is located not far from Yerevan, west of Geghama long chains of mountains 57km . The view from the top is beautiful where Ararat valley and surrounding mountains are seen. A rise of 6 km, 1300m climb down to Kaputan village. Then visit to the pagan temple of Garni. Garni temple is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. King Trdat the First ordered building the temple in the first century A.D. and dedicated it to the God of Sun. Visit to Geghard (UNESCO) monastery, one of the masterpieces of the 13th century Armenian architecture. The night will be held in Garni. Climbing up 6km /12 km. Altitude change 1750-2528m

  4. Day 4 Areni Vinery- Khor Virap- Noravank Monastery- Byurakan

    Khor Virap's notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator, was initially imprisoned here for 14 years by King Trdat III of Armenia. Monastery located just in front of mount Ararat. Visiting Noravanq monastery 12-15 century. Vine testing in Areni vinery. Dinner and overnight in Byurakan.

  5. Day 5 Mount Aragats

    Starting climbing to Aragats mountain from Byurakan village. The road is going near of Amberd gorge. After climbing 17 km we reach Aragats meteostation and stay for overnight. Climbing up 17 km Altitude change 1950-3200m

  6. Day 6 Mountain Aragats Summit

    Climbing to Southern summit (3879m) of Aragats Mountain. Skiing to Byurakan village (20km). Overnight in Sevan. Climbing up 7 km. Altitude change 3200- 3879m

  7. Day 7 Mount Sevsar- Sevan Lake- Sevanavank Monastery

    Climbing to mount Sevsar on Vardenis mountain range 3200m.After skiing, visit to lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. The lake was at an altitude of 1,950 m above sea level. Sevan is famous for its different kinds of fish, particular for ishkhan, which means “princely fish.” Visit to Sevanavank monastery (9th c.), located on a peninsula. Overnight in Yerevan Climbing up 8km/16km. Altitude change 2400-3200m

  8. Day 8 Yerevan

    Leisure in Yerevan. Departure.
